Our 'Love Thy Neighbor' week was influenced by this generous act of kindness and humanity. On January 25th, Jason Derusha (@derushaj on Instagram) posted a cry for help asking restaurants around the country to support bars and restaurants in the Twin Cities by adopting them. Neighbors supporting neighbors through hospitality.

Jacob and Deana from White Crow 3.0 in Tulsa, Oklahoma saw the post and felt the need to take action. They contacted us through Facebook and told us that the White Crow 3.0 is going to have a pool tournament to raise money to help. We are so grateful for this connection and outpour of neighborly love. We sent them a care package in return for their kindness and generosity. Opening a new business during this time has been challenging, but we know we have neighbors who are hurting more than we are. That being said, we are donating all the funds from the White Crow 3.0 pool tournament to our mutual aid drive partner @indigeroots.

Social media is a polarizing place. We found love through its cracks and hope others are digging deep into their feeds and algorithms to do good and be to better.‍
